About The Bluebird Project
Conserving local and historic structures as affordable housing in and around the Mount Washington Valley.
Our Mission
Bluebird was founded to create sustainable affordable housing and preserve historic structures and local character in the Mount Washington Valley.
We are a small-scale housing developer focused on helping our local workforce afford to live in the communities where they work. All of our properties are at least 50 years old, with two structures dating back to the mid-1800s. We use a mixture of state and federal grant funding, investor funds, traditional bank financing, and tax credit programs available to historic properties.
About Us
The Bluebird project is a partnership between Eliza Grant and Kit Hickey.

In her spare time, Eliza likes to hike and ski with her dogs.
Kit Hickey is a Conway resident. Kit has her undergraduate degree from Colby College and an MBA from MIT Sloan. Kit teaches entrepreneurship at MIT, and is an elected member of the Conway Budget Committee. Kit is passionate about giving hardworking families a safe, comfortable and stable place to live. In her spare time Kit likes to hike, ski, swim and travel.
“We are thankful for the community support we have received, the stewardship of the building by all those who are part of its history including its prior owners who have fully supported our restoration of the building, and our development, design and building team who have their work cut out for them.”
